Hydrokinetic Turbines in Ruby, AK

Ruby, AK - The Yukon River Inter-tribal Watershed Council (YRITWC) Energy Department is breaking new ground - or I guess river water - in Ruby, AK with the first ever US application of hydrokinetic turbines.  This is just one project that YRITWC is working on to lower the costs of energy for residents of the Yukon River Watershed.  They are also installing wind turbines and solar panels and finding ways towards increased energy efficiency - after all the cheapest energy is the energy you don't use.
