Alaska Conservation Voters launched its first Politics After Hours house party in Fairbanks last week.
Over hors d'oeuvres and wine
Long-time ACV supporters and new members interested in conservation gathered at the home of Board member Linda Schandelmeier to talk about Voters’ recent victories in the legislature and the upcoming election season.
A big thank you to Linda and her husband John for hosting such a great event!
At this intimate gathering, guests has an opportunity to ask questions from Voters Executive Director Caitlin Higgins about the legislative session, the passage of the omnibus energy bill that contained two of ACV’s priorities, as well as the new statewide energy policy and a host of other conservation related legislation.
The conversation then looked to the future November elections and supporting conservation allies on both sides of the political spectrum and how Voters would likely be involved in a number of critical races.
Look for Voter’s next Politics After Hours party this summer in Juneau, Homer, Girdwood, Mat-Su, Fairbanks and Anchorage.
